We camped in Maple Falls while Chris did a job up there for 10 nights. It is almost to Canada, pretty much in the mountains, in the middle of nowhere. No cell service, no
wi-
fi, just us and the bugs. It was gorgeous up there, but lets be honest, 10 nights in an 18-foot trailer with 2 adults, 3 kids, and a puppy is no walk in the park.
Chris had the weekend off, so we were able to venture out and check out the scenery. We drove up the mountain all the way to the snow, yes snow, in August. We saw the
Nooksack Falls, which were amazingly frightening and breath-taking. Lots of campfires,
smores, and making new friends. It was great.
Yummy
smores. That sounds good right now.
What a doll.
Us at Nooksack Falls, look behind us.
Nooksack Falls...stunning and so powerful! Yikes.
Mt. Baker, we drove up to get the best view possible in our truck. It was worth it.
This was a meadow behind our campsite, which we went on walks through. So
stinkin' pretty.
Silver Lake Park, the campground we stayed at.
Noah and our new German Shepherd puppy,
Danner. He is so smart, sweet, and big! Noah loves this puppy...he constantly pets him on his head and says, "You a good boy,
Danner".
